Through a wide range of activities that include drawing, painting, printing, collage and textiles in two and three dimensions; children are able to develop their confidence in manipulation and exploration using a broad range of materials.
Whilst enabling children to build on their own experiences, they are encouraged to be critical and appreciative of their own and others’ work. They are given the opportunity to study the work of other artists, craft makers and designers and learn to appreciate the role art and design plays in different communities, cultures and periods of time.
The children’s creativity is highly valued and their work is not only displayed to celebrate this, but its cross- curricular nature also provides a valuable learning opportunity.
We are proud to have gained the Artsmark Award for our contribution to the arts.
