The Great Shirley Heath Bake off- in aid of Children in Need

Shirley Heath Junior School held their very own version of

The Great British Bake Off to raise money for Children in Need 2014.

On Monday 10th November 2014 we asked pupils to bring in 6 identical ‘SHOWSTOPPING’ cakes that they have BAKED THEMSELVES.

These can be any type of fairy cake or cupcake but they  could NOT contain nuts.

Pupils then had their entries judged by their class teacher and a winner was selected. During the afternoon, each class held their very own Children in Need cake sale and sell cakes to each other. (Lots of entries meant lots of cakes to buy!) Cakes cost a minimum of 50p but extra donations for Children in Need are most welcome.

The winner from each class was invited to the ultimate baking battle at The Great Shirley Heath Bake Off final on Thursday 13th November 2014.

The over all supreme champion (after a tough judge by our very own Paul and Mary aka Mr Taylor and Mrs Evans) was Chloe in Year 5.
