On Wednesday 16th July we had a fun and very colourful fundraising event “The World Cup Bonanza Celebration” in memory of Mrs Parbat, the mother of Talisha 5PJ and Mya 3DM. The event consisted of an afternoon of fun for the children and their parents.
There was a football tournament during the afternoon, and a variety of stalls and games were organised around the field. Each class were designated a team (country) and they wore the colours of that team for the whole day.
The money raised was £1554.01 and will be given to the Critical Care Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in memory of Mrs Parbat. Representatives from the hospital and Mr Parbat also joined us for the afternoon. Thank you everyone who joined us and the many raffle prizes that were donated from Loungers Café, Enterprise, Sanskrit Indian Restaurant, Boots, Max Speilmann, Cobbler, Marks & Spencer, Waxxxypress, Prestige, Sainsbury’s, Starbucks, Mrs Ryan, Mrs Grennall, Mrs Devgun), Mrs Ropra and the Parbat family. A special thank you to Mrs Jethwa for donating £500 from her company Reirse Ryan Ltd.
Thank you to the staff for their hard work. Thank you to Mr Jones for organising the football tournament and special thanks to Miss Bloore for coordinating such a wonderful event.
