PTA
The school is fortunate to have a thriving Parent Teacher Association which provides an invaluable link between home and school. It organises many fund raising events throughout the year including the Summer and Christmas Fayres and termly discos for the children. The money raised helps to enhance the resources of the school. Over the last few years the PTA has funded a tyre park on the field, multimedia projectors, interactive whiteboards for the classrooms, a wooden climbing frame, wet play games, a TV screen in the foyer, wireless laptops for the classroom, the Trim Trail, new computers for the Mini ICT Suite, the refurbishment of the fiction and non-fiction libraries and has partly funded artificial turf in the rear playground. All families are automatically members of the association and we welcome any offers of help either on the committee or with the events.
Parent Helpers
We are fortunate to receive help from parents and grandparents during the school day and with after-school activities. Parents can help:
by listening to readers
in practical lessons
with clubs
by providing additional adult supervision for educational visits
by transporting team members to sports fixtures
with routine tasks around school
If you have some time available and would like to help in any way, please contact the office. Please note that a DBS check needs to be carried out on all volunteers.
