Powerful Words – Powerful Writing

On Thursday 7th November some of our Year 6 children attended a Gtxxtra workshop called Powerful

Words – Powerful Writing. They learnt how to compose and create mystery and suspense in writing

I thought it was very challenging but I learnt a lot about writing such as using short sentences to create tension.

My favourite bit about the workshop was that we got to write the start of a mystery and suspense story. I started with a chair spinning in an empty room to get the reader interested.
