The Curriculum

Across the curriculum, we explore the achievements and creativity of diverse people from the present day and history, including Malorie Blackman, Charles Darwin and Frida Khalo. We consider how Britain has been shaped by its past through topics such as Prehistoric Britain and World War Two,  and look to the future in terms of advancing technologies including electric vehicles and 3D printing. We investigate issues affecting communities around the world, such as global warming and deforestation, and consider ways in which we can help improve lives. Throughout our entire curriculum, children are exposed to new and challenging vocabulary and a wide variety of texts to help foster a deep love of reading and a rich vocabulary.
